Role Purpose

Provide pharmaceutical care services within your scope of practice, execute dispensary administrative duties, maintain stock controls, and deliver high standards of customer service and general health advice in compliance with Clicks’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SAPC regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispensary & Compounding Operations

• Pharmaceutical Care: Assist the Pharmacist in dispensing medications accurately and providing sound health advice to patients.
• Compounding & Repacking: Perform accurate medicine compounding and repacking according to precise SOP guidelines.
• Dispensary Administration: Process prescription records, maintain IT business systems, and handle administrative documentation timeously.

2. Stock Control & Visual Standards

• Inventory Management: Oversee efficient stock control, monitor inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and prevent expiry losses.
• Merchandising: Maintain high housekeeping standards, well-organized dispensary shelves, and clean OTC/health aisle merchandise displays.

3. Customer Service & Compliance

• Patient Engagement: Deliver professional, empathetic, and attentive customer service on the dispensary floor and over-the-counter (OTC).
• Legal Compliance: Uphold South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) standards, ethical working practices, and legal health regulations.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics (Essential).
• Professional Registration: Must meet the minimum requirements of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (SAPC) for your registered level (Qualified, Post-Basic, or Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant).
• Technical Skills: Sound product knowledge (OTC and Health aisle), basic numerical calculations, MS Office proficiency, and familiarity with IT Business Operating Systems.
• Key Competencies: Strong ethical integrity, exceptional attention to detail, team player mindset, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures strictly.
