- Transaction Governance: Ensure all line voids, item returns, or price changes are explicitly approved and physically signed off by a Frontline Supervisor.
2. Cash Management & Fraud Risk Mitigation
- Till Discipline: Maintain absolute personal accountability for your cash drawer. Keep your system login codes completely secure, change passwords regularly, and ensure physical money is securely stored inside the till.
- Drop Safe Compliance: Routinely drop high-denomination cash notes into the under-counter drop safe according to strict store safety protocols.
- Loss Prevention: Maintain strong situational awareness on the floor to recognize, prevent, and report suspicious customer or staff behavior to eliminate fraud risks.
- Data Discretion: Handle all end-of-day takings confidentially, discussing financial figures exclusively with management.
