Job Description: Shop Assistant / Cashier
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure service excellence through three main pillars: efficient Point of Sale (POS) operations, professional customer service, and high-standard merchandising. You are responsible for the customer’s final impression of the store at the checkout and the overall visual appeal of the aisles.
Key Job Objectives
- Point of Sale Excellence: Execute all transactions accurately and timely, ensuring high levels of precision when scanning items and collecting payments.
- ClubCard Promotion: Proactively enroll new members and action rewards to meet store participation targets.
- Sales Awareness: Inform customers of current promotions and events to increase sales and enhance the customer’s value experience.
- Merchandising & Housekeeping: Execute and maintain store visual standards and ensure the sales floor is clean and fully stocked.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Provide a visible, friendly, and professional service at all times.
- Cash Security: Maintain the safe handling of cash during all operational activities.
