Role Overview
The Office of the Premier represents the highest level of provincial governance. Cleaners in this department are responsible for maintaining a professional, hygienic, and safe environment for government officials and the public. The role requires dedication to high standards of cleanliness and the ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Upkeep: Clean and sanitize offices, boardrooms, hallways, and elevators.
- Hygiene Services: Deep clean and disinfect restrooms and kitchens, ensuring soap and paper dispensers are refilled.
- Waste Disposal: Collect and remove waste to designated disposal areas.
- Equipment Care: Safely operate and maintain cleaning machinery and materials.
- Safety Adherence: Follow health and safety protocols, including the correct use of protective clothing (PPE).
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
- Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of different cleaning materials and how to use cleaning equipment safely.
- Personal Attributes: Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of reliability.
