Role Purpose
Combine creative and technical makeup expertise with a passion for customer service. As a MAC Retail Artist, you will deliver welcoming, personalized, and educational in-store beauty experiences, drive point-of-sale sales, support store events, and maintain high visual merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Make-up Artistry & Consultations
- Personalized Consultations: Apply technical artistry to educate and delight customers, recommending tailored cosmetics products to suit their individual needs.
- Event Execution: Collaborate with the team to host high-impact in-store events and beauty activations.
2. Sales Execution & Visual Standards
- Sales Targets: Drive sales performance using point-of-sale (POS) systems and product knowledge.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain MAC’s visual presentation standards to make the counter stand out in a competitive prestige retail environment.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience / Qualification: Makeup artistry qualification or prior retail makeup sales experience is preferred, but candidates with amateur-level expertise who can demonstrate technical creative skill are welcome.
- Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver inspirational, authentic, and high-touch customer service.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with retail point-of-sale (POS) software.
- Legal: Proof of right to live and work in South Africa.
- Flexibility: Full availability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and promotional events in a fast-paced setting.
