Role Overview: Consultative Sales & Brand Ambassador
Unlike general shop floor assistants, a Clicks Beauty Assistant functions as a specialized consultant. You are responsible for navigating customers through skincare routines, cosmetics, haircare, and fragrance lines. Your goal is to drive sales through active product demonstrations, upselling, and building customer trust while maintaining pristine visual merchandising standards in the beauty aisles.
Key Objectives
1. Consultative Sales & Target Conversion
- Customer Consultations: Actively engage shoppers to assess their skin types, tone preferences, or beauty concerns and recommend tailored product solutions.
- Target Driving: Meet monthly department turnover targets through cross-selling, upselling, and promoting high-margin Clicks Private Label and exclusive imported beauty ranges.
- Loyalty Capture: Drive Clicks ClubCard sign-ups and swipes to meet store loyalty participation targets.
2. Visual Merchandising & Department Operations
- Visual Standards: Execute corporate planograms, manage promotional ends, ensure correct price-ticketing, and keep tester stands hygienic and well-stocked.
- Stock & Shrinkage Control: Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock counts, rotate products to manage expiry dates, and minimize shrinkage/theft in high-value cosmetic bays.
Minimum Requirements & Skills
Education & Experience
- Essential: Grade 12 / Matric.
- Desirable: A qualification in Somatology, Beauty Therapy, or Skincare.
- Desirable: Previous experience working in retail, FMCG, sales, or beauty consultations.

- Strong knowledge of skincare ingredients, cosmetic application, and beauty trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, persuasion, and communication skills.
- Target-driven mindset with the ability to handle high-volume trading pressure during weekend rushes.
