The Role: Urban Culture & Sales Excellence
At GALXBOY, your goal is to maximize revenue while maintaining the brand’s bold, high-energy reputation. You will be expected to master the “language” of the brand—knowing exactly how to style a customer while using modern retail tech and payment methods to close the sale.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Maximization
- Brand Representation: Adhere to strict uniform and grooming standards to reflect the brand’s professional yet edgy aesthetic.
- Sales Techniques: Consistently implement upselling and cross-selling to drive key performance indicators (KPIs) like UPT (Units Per Transaction) and ATV (Average Transaction Value).
- Payment Modernization: Understand and promote modern “Buy Now, Pay Later” methods such as Payflex, PJN, and Happy Pay.
Visual Merchandising & Product Knowledge
- Technical Detail: Maintain a deep understanding of materials, pricing, and care instructions for all streetwear items.
- Floor Maintenance: Steam, tag, price, and fold products daily to ensure the store follows strict Visual Merchandising (VM) guidelines.
Stock Control & Daily Operations
- Stockroom Efficiency: Organize the stockroom by category to speed up the sales process on the floor.
- Reporting: Keep managers informed on “best sellers” and sell-outs to ensure the store is always replenished.
- POS Accuracy: Process transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring cash handling is accurate and variance schedules are updated.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. Higher education is an advantage.
- Experience: 1 – 2 years of work experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- Skills: Computer literacy and a solid understanding of retail practices.
