Role Overview
The primary goal is to deliver service excellence through efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations and merchandising. You will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring customers “feel good and pay less” by providing professional advice and promoting current store events.
Key Objectives
- POS Operations: Execute all activities at the point of sale quickly and accurately.
- Financial Accuracy: Maintain high precision when scanning goods and collecting payments, including the safe handling of cash at all times.
- Loyalty & Sales: Proactively enroll new members into the Clicks ClubCard program and inform customers of promotions to drive sales.
- Merchandising: Maintain store standards through efficient stock replenishment and general housekeeping duties.
- Customer Service: Offer a friendly, professional service and maintain updated knowledge on all product ranges and promotions.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Grade 12 is essential. (Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable).
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or FMCG environment is preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic math calculations, understanding of merchandising principles, and stock management procedures.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy and strong numeracy skills.
- Competencies: Ability to follow instructions, relate well to people, and deliver results under pressure.
