Role Purpose
Lead and build a high-performing store team (“Dynamos”) for a brand-new PEP Home store opening. You will be responsible for driving store turnover, managing operational budgets, maintaining stock loss controls, executing administrative duties, and establishing world-class retail standards from day one.
Key Responsibilities
1. Launch & Sales Driving
- Customer Focus: Build customer loyalty in a new location by delivering excellent service standards.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain the store image, execute corporate promotional setups, and manage display layouts.
2. Loss Control & Risk Mitigation
- Shrinkage Prevention: Establish a healthy security culture early on, strictly enforcing cash and inventory handling procedures.
3. Operational Efficiency & Administration
- Cost Management: Align store operations with PEP’s low-cost culture by driving day-to-day efficiencies.
- Admin Compliance: Perform all store administrative duties accurately according to company guidelines.
4. Team Building & Leadership
- Dynamos Management: Lead, coach, train, and manage the performance of a newly assembled store team.
- Health & Safety: Maintain clean, safe, and organized retail floor and stockroom environments.
Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric. (A tertiary degree/diploma in business or retail is an advantage).
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a retail leadership/management role.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace (GSuite).
- Language: Proficient in English.
- Core Competencies: Strong managerial capabilities (planning, leading, organizing, controlling), excellent communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure, and full willingness to work retail hours.
