The Role: Three-Stripe Customer Excellence

Festival Mall is a busy retail hub, meaning the adidas sales floor operates at a fast, high-volume pace. Your primary focus is to welcome customers, match them with the right technical gear or apparel, and utilize internal data systems to understand store goals.


Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Active Service: Welcome shoppers, diagnose their needs, and guide them to the right product lines. You will also take turns serving as the dedicated front-door Greeter on high-traffic days.
  • Smart Selling: Implement advanced techniques like add-on sales (e.g., matching running socks with a new pair of sneakers) and describe technical specifications (such as explaining Boost cushioning, Primeknit uppers, or Aeroready tech) to drive turnover.

2. Tech Integration & Continuous Learning

  • POS Mastery: Build proficiency with the Point-of-Sale (POS) system for quick, secure processing of cash, credit, and digital transactions.
  • Data-Driven Insight: Learn to use Power BI performance dashboards to track top-selling products and identify “blackhole products” (slow-moving lines that need strategic pushing).
  • Digital Onboarding: Participate in internal training via the corporate Atticus and AREA digital platforms to continuously hone product knowledge and industry best practices.

3. Floor Operations & Visual Merchandising

  • Stock Pipeline: Smoothly transport inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor on a fill-in basis to keep sizes completely stocked.
  • Display Development: Help build eye-catching visual merchandising displays according to the schedules and layout guides provided by the store management team.
  • Admin Verification: Assist indirectly with product ticketing and double-check delivery paperwork against items received in the backroom.

4. Risk Management & Upkeep

  • Loss Prevention: Protect company assets by actively monitoring the floor, following security protocols, and executing SLAP procedures to report suspicious behavior.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain high cleanliness and housekeeping standards across both the front floor and the stock areas.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric Certificate.
  • Experience: 0 to 1 year of retail experience. Prior experience in fashion or sportswear retail is a major plus but not strictly mandatory.
  • Availability: Total flexibility to work dynamic hours, including weekdays, late-night mall trading hours, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Tech Adaptability: Comfort learning new software applications, digital learning portals, and dashboard metrics.
